In the second term, the student should develop knowledge of the theory or theories that will directly inform his/her research work. A review of relevant theories and a proposed theoretical framework should be included as part of the draft prospectus due April 1. The student must submit the Completed Theory and Methods Study Program form by April 15.
Student should develop knowledge and mastery of the thoery that he/she will need to apply in the course of his/her doctoral research, and in accordance with the study plan delivered at the end of Fall Term.
Credits for the Theory Study Courses are awarded when the supervisor approves the Completed Theory and Methods Study Program form. (It is highly encouraged to take one (2 credits) methods or theory course outside of the department already in the fall term.)
